FEMALE FUNDERS

Applications close next week for the Female Funders Angel Academy program.

Angel Academy is a blended education program and community for women to learn the fundamentals of venture investing (like how to evaluate startup companies and the mechanics of venture deals) and to build vetted deal flow alongside experienced investors and a community of peers.

What Angel Academy participants can expect:

Congratulations to Mohan, Marat & Mona on a successful Good News Ventures Inaugural Investor Update on May 17th. YAI was well represented by: Cass, Jess, Angelo, Rudy, Stan, Joseph, Jim, Noel, and Sayan.

Jeff Potvin represented York Angels at the Angel Nest Conference in Mexico on May 21 & 22.

On May 23rd, YPO & AIO hosted the Joint Angel Investment Event. YAI was well represented by: Alan, Angelo, Frank, Jackie, Jay & Jess!
Jess was delighted to be a Shark on May 28th, for Helix at Seneca. Thanks for the opportunity to to learn more about these innovative companies.

On May 31st Jess attended True North Conference in Waterloo. Many thought provoking presenters!

On June 8th, Angelo gave a talk at YEDI on Angel Investment & Government Funding!

On June 13th, AccelerateOtt, a 500 person conference for entrepreneurs and investors took place in Ottawa. As a member of the programming committee, Jess had the pleasure of working with a diverse team of volunteers from across North America and the amazing staff of Invest Ottawa. The conference was a success, with inspiring and informative speakers and great networking!

Jess was delighted to judge the Venture for Canada pitch competition in Kingston on June 14th!

On June 14th, Keiretsu Forum hosted the Angel Capital Expo. YAI was well represented by: Ana, Angelo, Frank, Jennifer, Sayan, Phoenix & Teresa!
